La moisson de Bruegel, 2014

Created from a erasing procedure, the reproduction of La moisson de Bruegel was painstakingly removed from its support. The residual colors were conserved as the original image was erased. The result is a doubled or split moisson, that our gaze tries to rebuild. On one hand the erased reproduction, what has been extracted from it on the other. The constellation of colors, the rips in the paper, the frame of the print, the threads and intrusive dust motes creates a new image in which we become lost, examining the details.
